This course introduces the student to key concepts, practices, and issues in finance. Topics covered include: capital and financial market systems, investment banking, interest rates, public offering, private placements, valuation of financial assets, investment in long-term assets, time value of money and capital budgeting techniques, break-even analysis, operating and financial leverage, capital structure, and earnings per share (EPS).
